Candidates
Candidates for constitutional, legislative, and judicial offices are expected to be knowledgeable about the requirements of Chapter 10A.

Candidates must register within 14 days of raising or spending in excess of $100 to influence their nomination or election. Once registered, the candidate's principal campaign committee must file periodic reports.

Partisan candidates must file a Statement of Economic Interest within 14 days after filing an Affidavit of Candidacy in election years. The Statement must be filed by partisan candidates even if the the candidate has not registered a principal campaign committee with the Board.

Registered partisan candidate may choose to file a Public Subsidy Agreement to qualify for public subsidy payments and to issue Political Contribution Receipts that allow contributors to have their contributions refunded.
